YORK - 2007 HomeCare Elite has been named to the "2007 HomeCare Elite," a compilation of the most successful Medicare-certified home health care providers in the nation.
The list is reported annually by OCS, Inc., a healthcare informatics company, and DecisionHealth publishing company.
This annual review identifies the top 25 percent of agencies nationwide, ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance.
York Hospital Home Care was one of only seven Maine-based home health agencies to receive this distinction, and the only one based in York County.
"We are so proud of the Home Care team for the work they provide," said Adult Health Services and Home Care Leader Kathy Lane. "They truly make unbelievable experiences happen for our patients and their families, and this just proves it."
York Hospital Home Care has been serving the healthcare needs of patients in southern York County for over 10 years. Since its inception, the program has grown in both size and breadth of services offered, including expert nursing care, home health aides, physical, occupational and speech therapists and medical social workers available at a moment's notice. The collaborative team works together to help enable patients to stay in the comfort of their own homes during times of recuperation, disability and chronic or terminal illness.
